There might have been bad coffee, fake eggs, and no bananas for breakfast at the hotel, but it was nice and cool and we were able to disengage Howie from the tiny parking lot that was evidently not created for guests stopping by WITH their Home On Wheels.

No worries, we travel with our own coffee machine and have an inverter running off solar and husbands deliver coffee in bed.

AND husband's that can extricate the RV out of tight spaces.

Our next destination is Gainesville, Florida. Our first plan of attack is to find a laundromat with lots of machines.

😄 We excel at multitasking while driving - shaving our heads with the skullshaver! No getting nicked!

Jax decided to take advantage of the cozy couch in Howie to catch up on his sleeps he may have missed yesterday when his crazy parents took him along to the movies.

2.5 hours can be a long drive for spoiled doggies!

After getting gas, Chuck spied a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. We’ve had a gift card for there the whole trip and somehow never saw one on the bike route so today was the day!

God already had all kinds of people lined up to share with! Danielle and Tina were big Jax and Jesus fans and needed to hear how awesome God is today! (Don’t we all?)

One of the Cracker Barrel servers full of God's joy came over and prayed over us.

When it was time to pay, our waitress let us know that someone had covered our bill. And since we know we can’t out give God (but we sure like to try!) we brought our gift card to some ladies that caught my eye. Turns out that she’s going through cancer treatment.

We love how God works!

Much of the last part of this trip I’ve been hot and sweaty. And to be honest, I’ve been kind of complaining a bit too much about it! As we pulled out of the restaurant (after sitting in nice cold air conditioning) I was feeling the heat and humidity again. The windows had to be open and the fan we bought at Walmart had to be on, Howie's front AC just couldn't keep up.

As we pull up to the light, I hear a lady call out to me from her front seat - “I took a picture of your sign and I’m going to post it on Facebook. My best friend is in treatment for breast cancer!” I thanked her and exchanged a few comments before the light coaxed us each on our way. It dawned on me that IF Howie's AC was in splendid order, my window would be closed and I wouldn't have had a chance to communicate with her. And that my need for comfort in an ice cold vehicle and an ice cold house is quite a fairly new construct in the past 100-150 years. Before that people functioned without these “modern conveniences” and imagine were way more, what I would consider, uncomfortable! It just made me think about and maybe evaluate my own perceived needs a little bit more today.

Less complaining and more thanking was the result.

We pulled just about everything we can wash out of Howie and went to a laundromat so we could get it all done in about 1.5 hours.

Real men hang laundry! 😃

We got slammed with a torrential downpour!

We found a Hotel nearby with a place to park Howie. We had a phone interview to catch on time before friends were driving 2.5 hours to meet us for dinner!
