“Home” from the hospital!

After 8 days, Hannah was released from the hospital.

The original issue of a heavy headache and swelling feeling on her brain that brought her to a local ER in Florida instead of going on her flight back to Phoenix, AZ for treatment.

The Brain MRI indicated no new brain lesions but showed the 8 lesions that had been treated in November 2021 and March 2022 (just 2 weeks before Chuck & Hannah left for Ride Like A Thriver) we’re having a treatment response causing swelling. Adding steroids to her regimen has helped decrease the swelling.

Jax got dressed up in a kid gown by the nurses! He was a very popular service dog at the hospital! 8 days of his good natured presence brought SO much joy to patients, staff, & visitors alike - always giving us an opportunity to share our stories!

One of the scans done was a CT from neck to groin. We had no plan from our personal oncologist in AZ to have it done so it was a blessing to get this information: there was some new tumor spread in a few small locations.

This was a good opportunity to get a new biopsy and find out what was fueling the latest growth. After waiting an extra few days to get on the schedule for Monday morning, Hannah had a CT guided biopsy of a liver lesion.

Jax had to say goodbye to a few of his fans before mommy left.

Finally got sprung at 7 pm on Monday night!

Very happy
